How To Change A 4 Prong Dryer Cord And 

Plug To A 3 Prong

Panel circuit breakers are labeled & 

one 20 A rated is dedicated for Laundry room appliances

So logic says to me, I have a green & yellow wire, 

it show go on the yellow & green connection, 

that makes the black wire neutral which must go into the

3 & 4 wire configurations. 

Check the manufacturers documentation for proper wiring, 

but I would say the first image is likely correct.
